Technical Assistance and Training

DSS funded Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies support child care through onsite technical assistance and training to improve the quality of services offered to young children and families. 

The Louisiana Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (LACCRRA) works with the regional CCR&R agencies to support and coordinate services.  These services include consumer education and referrals to child care, data collection, training of child care providers, technical assistance, and advocacy. 

Regional CCR&R services and training projects are funded by the Department of Social Services Office of Family Support through the Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education.  Five agencies provide CCR&R services through seven offices throughout the state.  LSU AgCenter provides training in the Lake Charles and North Shore regions.
